Our company's history

Wrapped profiles, the beginning of a new technology:
The Berg company was founded in 1971 by Mr. Gunther Berg. At this time, the most important task was to perfect the development process of this new technology. In 1974, the company had a breakthrough and with establishment of the current facility in Rietberg, production took off.

| 1978 | Re-establishment as a limited liability corporation. |
| 1980 | Launch of the assembly plant in Warburg; Internationalization/cooperation: Societé des profiles Rougier-Berg PRB, Mauzé (France) & Novoperfil SA, Gandia (Spain). |
| 1986 | Commencement of wrapped profile production. |
| 1991 | Founding of B.S. Bauprogramm LLC, Wünnenberg-Haaren, Spelog Speditions LLC, Wünnenberg-Haaren and Berg Holztechnik LLC, Horb. |
| 1993 | Founding of Berg Polska Z.Ó.Ó., Rogozno (Poland). |
| 1996 | Relocation of all German production to Rietberg and Warburg. |
| 1997 | Acquisition of the Pur Möbelprofile and Vertriebsgesellschaft LLC/Recke. Completion of the 650mm-wide wrapped furniture modules now at the Warburg facility. |
| 1998 | Acquisition of the FB Möbeltüren LLC in Gütersloh |
| 2001 | Berg's acquisition of several companies through the Schnell Group from Frankfurt/Main. These companies´ main area of production was solid wood in 5 facilities throughout Germany. |
| 2008 | Re-establishment as Berg formatec LLC, Warburg. |
| 2012 | Renaming into Formatec Ltd. |
